Qualifying service is the service that counts for pension. Total service minus non-qualifying service gives qualifying service.अर्हक सेवा वह सेवा है जो पेंशन के लिए गिनी जाती है। कुल सेवा में से गैर-अर्हक सेवा घटाने पर अर्हक सेवा मिलती है।

A period of suspension which the competent authority HAS regularised as duty does count as qualifying service. Only the unregularised part is left out.निलंबन की वह अवधि जिसे सक्षम प्राधिकारी ने ड्यूटी के रूप में नियमित कर दिया है, अर्हक सेवा में गिनी जाती है। केवल अनियमित भाग छोड़ा जाता है।

Average emoluments are worked out from the emoluments drawn during the LAST 10 MONTHS of service.औसत परिलब्धियाँ सेवा के अंतिम 10 माह में आहरित परिलब्धियों से निकाली जाती हैं।

Pension is 50 per cent of the last pay drawn OR of the average emoluments of the last 10 months, whichever is more beneficial to the employee.पेंशन अंतिम आहरित वेतन अथवा अंतिम 10 माह की औसत परिलब्धियों का 50 प्रतिशत है, जो भी कर्मचारी के लिए अधिक लाभकारी हो।
