Look at WHY a Section Controller is Intensive. A Gateman is Essentially Intermittent for the same reason in reverse. Presence at the gate is essential, but between trains there is genuine inaction — which is why the rostered hours are so much longer.गेटमैन इसी कारण से उल्टे रूप में अनिवार्यतः आंतरायिक है। फाटक पर उपस्थिति आवश्यक है, किंतु गाड़ियों के बीच वास्तविक निष्क्रियता रहती है — इसीलिए रोस्टर घंटे इतने अधिक लंबे हैं।

The category decides HOURS, not pay. Two railway servants on the same pay level can sit in different categories, and the same servant's category can change on transfer to different duties.श्रेणी घंटे तय करती है, वेतन नहीं। एक ही वेतन स्तर के दो रेल सेवक भिन्न श्रेणियों में हो सकते हैं, और भिन्न कर्तव्यों पर स्थानांतरण से उसी सेवक की श्रेणी बदल सकती है।

The rest-suspension limits differ by category, and that is a favourite question — rest temporarily suspended must be granted within 15 DAYS for Intensive staff, and within ONE MONTH for the others.विश्राम स्थगन की सीमाएँ श्रेणी के अनुसार भिन्न हैं, और यह प्रिय प्रश्न है — अस्थायी रूप से स्थगित विश्राम सघन कर्मचारियों को 15 दिनों में, और शेष को एक माह में देना होता है।

If rest is temporarily suspended, it must be granted within 15 DAYS for the intensive category, and within ONE MONTH for the others.यदि विश्राम अस्थायी रूप से स्थगित किया जाए, तो गहन श्रेणी के लिए 15 दिन के भीतर और अन्य के लिए एक माह के भीतर देना होगा।
