The rest comes every week, and the week begins on a Sunday.

• Intensive or Continuous: not less than 30 CONSECUTIVE HOURS
• Essentially Intermittent: not less than 24 CONSECUTIVE HOURS, including a FULL NIGHT

REST BEFORE YOU ARE CALLED ON DUTYड्यूटी पर बुलाने से पहले विश्राम

You cannot be called on duty unless you have had a rest of at least:

• INTENSIVE: 12 consecutive hours
• CONTINUOUS: 10 consecutive hours
• ESSENTIALLY INTERMITTENT: 8 consecutive hours

COMPENSATORY RESTप्रतिपूरक विश्राम

This covers a railway servant for whom an exemption has been made under rule 9. You cannot be made to work for more than FOURTEEN DAYS without a period of rest. WHEN YOUR REST IS SUSPENDED FOR A WHILEजब आपका विश्राम कुछ समय के लिए स्थगित हो

If your rest is suspended temporarily, the rest in lieu must still be given.

• Intensive staff: within 15 DAYS in the guide's HOER chapter, and within 14 DAYS in its Industrial Relations chapter
• Other staff: within ONE MONTH in both chapters
