On retirement, including voluntary retirement, premature retirement and retirement on medical invalidation, you may keep the accommodation.
- FOUR MONTHS on payment of NORMAL RENT
- A further FOUR MONTHS on EDUCATIONAL or SICKNESS grounds, on payment of DOUBLE the normal rent

IF YOU DIE IN SERVICEयदि सेवा में आपकी मृत्यु हो जाए
In the event of the death of a railway servant, the family members are permitted to retain the railway quarters.
The period is TWO YEARS, that is 24 MONTHS, on payment of NORMAL RENT.
So your family keeps the roof for two years, which is the longest period in this chapter.रेल सेवक की मृत्यु होने पर परिवार के सदस्यों को रेलवे क्वार्टर रखने की अनुमति है।
यह अवधि दो वर्ष, अर्थात् 24 माह है, सामान्य किराए पर।
अर्थात् आपका परिवार दो वर्ष तक छत रखता है, और यही इस अध्याय की सबसे लंबी अवधि है।

IF YOU RESIGN, OR ARE DISMISSEDयदि आप त्यागपत्र दें, या पदच्युत हों
An employee who resigns, or is dismissed or removed from service, may keep the railway quarters for ONE MONTH.
That month is on payment of normal rent.
Set that one month beside the twenty-four months a dead man's family gets, and the four months a pensioner gets.
So the way your service ends decides how long the roof stays over your head.जो कर्मचारी त्यागपत्र दे, अथवा सेवा से पदच्युत या हटाया जाए, वह रेलवे क्वार्टर एक माह तक रख सकता है।
वह एक माह सामान्य किराए पर है।
इस एक माह को मृतक के परिवार के चौबीस माह और पेंशनभोगी के चार माह के बगल में रखिए।
अर्थात् आपकी सेवा जिस तरह समाप्त होती है, वही तय करता है कि छत कितने समय आपके सिर पर रहेगी।

WHAT UNAUTHORISED RETENTION COSTS YOUअनधिकृत रूप से क्वार्टर रखने की कीमत
For unauthorised retention of accommodation after retirement, the administration takes three steps.
- The NO CLAIM CERTIFICATE is not given until you have vacated the quarters and cleared all dues on rent, electricity and the rest
- The ENTIRE amount of retirement or death gratuity is WITHHELD
- It is kept in cash, so that it can be released the moment the quarters are vacated
- ONE SET of post-retirement pass is DISALLOWED for every month of unauthorised retention, with a show-cause notice
- कोई-दावा-नहीं प्रमाणपत्र तब तक नहीं दिया जाता जब तक आप क्वार्टर खाली न कर दें और किराया, बिजली आदि के सभी बकाया न चुका दें
- सेवानिवृत्ति या मृत्यु उपदान की पूरी राशि रोक ली जाती है
- वह नकद रखी जाती है, ताकि क्वार्टर खाली होते ही छोड़ी जा सके
- अनधिकृत रूप से रखे हर माह के लिए सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद के पास का एक सेट रोक लिया जाता है, कारण बताओ नोटिस के साथ

What you pay for a quarter does not follow your pay.
Rent and conservancy charges are recovered on the basis of the PLINTH AREA and the TYPE of quarter.
No railway employee is permitted to SUBLET a railway quarter. Staff who violate that order are charged MARKET RENT or PENAL RENT, after the disciplinary inquiry is finalised.

किराया और सफाई प्रभार क्वार्टर के प्लिंथ क्षेत्र और प्रकार के आधार पर वसूले जाते हैं।
किसी रेल कर्मचारी को रेलवे क्वार्टर उपकिराए पर देने की अनुमति नहीं है। इस आदेश का उल्लंघन करने वाले कर्मचारियों से, अनुशासनिक जाँच पूरी होने के बाद, बाजार किराया या दंड किराया वसूला जाता है।
