Entitlement under the 7th CPC is read from the PLPM — the PASS LEVEL IN PAY MATRIX. It is a separate ladder from the pay level itself, and it is the PLPM that decides which pass a railway servant gets.सातवें वेतन आयोग के अंतर्गत हक पीएलपीएम — वेतन मैट्रिक्स में पास स्तर — से पढ़ा जाता है। यह वेतन स्तर से अलग सोपान है, और पीएलपीएम ही तय करता है कि रेल सेवक को कौन सा पास मिलेगा।

The GOLD PASS goes to the Chairman Railway Board and Board Members including the Financial Commissioner, to Directors General and General Managers granted the Apex Scale, and to the Chief Commissioner of Railway Safety.स्वर्ण पास अध्यक्ष रेलवे बोर्ड तथा वित्त आयुक्त सहित बोर्ड सदस्यों को, शीर्ष वेतनमान प्राप्त महानिदेशकों एवं महाप्रबंधकों को, तथा रेल संरक्षा मुख्य आयुक्त को दिया जाता है।

The BRONZE PASS, also called the First Class 'A' Pass, goes to Selection Grade officers, Junior Administrative Grade officers, and other Group A and Group B gazetted officers. Learn the three metals as a descending ladder — Gold at the top of the Board, Silver for the administrative grades, Bronze for the rest of the gazetted service.कांस्य पास, जिसे प्रथम श्रेणी 'ए' पास भी कहते हैं, चयन ग्रेड अधिकारियों, कनिष्ठ प्रशासनिक ग्रेड अधिकारियों, तथा अन्य समूह 'क' और 'ख' राजपत्रित अधिकारियों को दिया जाता है। तीनों धातुओं को अवरोही सोपान के रूप में सीखें — बोर्ड के शीर्ष पर स्वर्ण, प्रशासनिक ग्रेडों हेतु रजत, शेष राजपत्रित सेवा हेतु कांस्य।

A CHEQUE PASS is different in kind from the metal passes.
