WHO CAN HAVE A SCHOOL PASSस्कूल पास किसे मिल सकता है

A school pass may be issued to your son or daughter who is a BONA FIDE STUDENT of a recognised educational institution.

• The institution must be away from your headquarters, and it issues the certificate you produce
• Each such dependent son or daughter gets passes separately
• The class is the one you get on privilege account
• Oak Grove School, Jharipani: children not ordinarily entitled to First Class may get it as a special case
• Husband and wife both railway servants: the SCR compilation says either account; the Combined Book says one account only

The guide and the Pass Rule notes exclude a son or daughter above 21 on a stipend, as distinct from a merit or means scholarship. The PassRules summary allows a BONA FIDE STUDENT past 21, even if married after 21. The question bank adds one point and marks it to be checked against current orders. The school pass is the one pass it says is NOT drawn in electronic form through HRMS.स्कूल पास आपके उस पुत्र या पुत्री को जारी हो सकता है जो किसी मान्यता प्राप्त शिक्षण संस्थान का वास्तविक छात्र हो।

गाइड और पास नियम नोट 21 से ऊपर के उस छात्र को बाहर रखते हैं जो मेधा या साधन छात्रवृत्ति नहीं, वजीफा पाता हो। पासरूल्स सारांश 21 के बाद भी, विवाह हो जाए तब भी, वास्तविक छात्र को अनुमति देता है। प्रश्न बैंक एक बात जोड़ता है, और उसे वर्तमान आदेशों से जाँचने को कहता है। उसके अनुसार स्कूल पास ही वह पास है जो एचआरएमएस से इलेक्ट्रॉनिक रूप में नहीं निकाला जाता।

COURSES THAT QUALIFYकौन से पाठ्यक्रम मान्य हैं

• NOT for language or correspondence courses, whether full time or part time
• YES for regular full-time study in courses run by IGNOU, Indraprastha University and the Department of Electronics
• Pass Rule notes: also any other body set up under a statute, on a declaration in the prescribed format (Board's letter E(W)2000 PS5-1/30 dated 13.11.2000)

So if your child studies by correspondence, you get no school pass for it.

HOW MANY SCHOOL PASSESकितने स्कूल पास

• THREE SETS, or SIX HALF SETS, for every child in a calendar year
• They are IN ADDITION to your privilege passes
• They are debited under the head "On School Account"

All four sources agree on three sets. So if your son asks how many school passes he gets in a year, answer three sets.

SCHOOL PASSES DO NOT STOP WITH YOUR PRIVILEGE PASSESआपके सुविधा पास रुकने से स्कूल पास नहीं रुकते

• If your privilege passes are stopped for any reason, including as a punishment, your children's school passes are not affected
• If you are suspended, your eligibility for school passes is not affected

So a Group B officer whose 3 full sets of privilege passes are withheld still gets 6 half sets of school passes for his son.

WHEN AND WHERE THE SCHOOL PASS TAKES YOUR CHILDस्कूल पास आपके बच्चे को कब और कहाँ ले जाता है

• Recognised vacations of not less than THREE CONSECUTIVE DAYS, Sunday included, or closure of the institution for unforeseen reasons
• Between the place where either parent lives and the school, and back
• To a place other than a parent's home, if that journey is not longer than the college-to-home distance
• To the institution for admission or joining, and back to your headquarters
• PassRules summary: also for appearing in an examination
• Break of journey is allowed if it is endorsed on the pass

The Combined Book says vacations of more than 3 days. A pass to a place other than your headquarters or the other parent's permanent home needs a gazetted officer's approval.

• WHAT THE AEDPM 2026 PAPER KEYSThat paper asks between which stations a school pass runs, and keys the school and your HOME TOWN station. Your Pass Rules say the place where either parent lives. Write home town if that is the option offered.

The age limit for a boy differs by source.

• SCR COMPILATION: a boy under 18 and a girl of any age
• COMBINED BOOK: a son under 18, and no age limit for daughters and handicapped children
• GUIDE AND PASS RULE NOTES: a girl of any age, or a boy under 15 but not above 18. The notes' clarification then says a boy under 18
• PASSRULES SUMMARY: a girl of any age and a boy of 15

The question bank keys two cases. A school pass for a son above 18 CAN include a parent or guardian if the son is handicapped. A pass for a daughter above 25 CAN still include her parents or guardian. If you are asked the age today, treat 18 as current. A parent, step-parent or guardian goes in the same class, and may get a separate pass to fetch the child or return alone. If the guardian is an attendant, only a second class pass is issued.लड़के की आयु सीमा स्रोत के अनुसार अलग है।

GUARDIANS OTHER THAN PARENTSमाता-पिता के अलावा संरक्षक

• Pass Rule notes: before a request to include a guardian other than a parent goes up, the controlling officer must satisfy himself it is justified
• Schedule II: sometimes no parent, adult family member or adult dependent travels with a gazetted officer's minor children
• Then the GM may allow a nurse or other person to be included in the pass
• Minor children there means sons, step sons, adopted sons or dependent brothers under 15, and daughters or dependent sisters under 18
• A guardian escorting an officer's minor child alone may get a First Class pass; an attendant acting as guardian gets second class
• Such a pass is debited to the officer's privilege passes

If you are asked the minor age for this rule, give 15 for boys and 18 for girls.

THE SCHOOL CERTIFICATEस्कूल प्रमाणपत्र

• Submit the bona fide certificate from the institution once a year, at the start of the academic session
• If studies stop, tell the pass issuing authority at once. A certificate may still be asked for in case of doubt
• A pass may be issued before the certificate, if you submit it within ONE MONTH of issue
• School passes may be issued up to 4 MONTHS in advance (RBE 101/2011)

Schedule II applies the same certificate rule to sons and dependent brothers over 21 included in privilege passes and PTOs.

• संस्थान का वास्तविकता प्रमाणपत्र वर्ष में एक बार, शैक्षणिक सत्र की शुरुआत में जमा कीजिए
• यदि पढ़ाई रुक जाए, तो पास जारी करने वाले प्राधिकारी को तुरंत बताइए। संदेह होने पर फिर भी प्रमाणपत्र माँगा जा सकता है

SCHOOL CARD PASSस्कूल कार्ड पास

It lets your son or daughter commute daily between the station where you live and the station nearest the school or college.

• Issued on a certificate from the recognised institution
• The Railway may add limits, such as distance, to suit local conditions
• The class is the same as your privilege pass
• Combined Book: for children of staff posted where education facilities are not available
• Combined Book: valid for one year, and no journey on Sundays and holidays
