Provident Fund is governed by the Provident Fund Act, 1925. It is a fund in which the subscriptions of employees are deposited against their accounts, together with the interest accruing on them.भविष्य निधि, भविष्य निधि अधिनियम, 1925 से शासित होती है। यह वह निधि है जिसमें कर्मचारियों का अभिदान उनके खातों में जमा होता है, साथ में उस पर अर्जित ब्याज भी।

The Railways have two categories — State Railway Provident Fund (Contributory), and State Railway Provident Fund (Non-Contributory).रेलवे में दो श्रेणियाँ हैं — राज्य रेलवे भविष्य निधि (अंशदायी), और राज्य रेलवे भविष्य निधि (गैर-अंशदायी)।

The CONTRIBUTORY fund applies to railway employees appointed before 16 November 1957 who did not opt for the pension scheme, and to those in service on 1 January 1986 who opted out of the pension scheme.अंशदायी निधि उन रेल कर्मचारियों पर लागू होती है जो 16 नवंबर 1957 से पहले नियुक्त हुए और जिन्होंने पेंशन योजना नहीं चुनी, तथा उन पर जो 1 जनवरी 1986 को सेवा में थे और पेंशन योजना से बाहर हो गए।

The NON-CONTRIBUTORY fund applies to non-pensionable employees in service on 15 November 1957 who elected to come on the pension scheme; to persons entering railway service on or after 16 November 1957; and to CPF beneficiaries in service on 1 January 1986, who are deemed to have come over to the pension scheme on that date unless they specifically opted to stay on CPF.गैर-अंशदायी निधि उन पर लागू होती है जो 15 नवंबर 1957 को सेवा में गैर-पेंशनभोगी थे और पेंशन योजना चुनी; जो 16 नवंबर 1957 को या उसके बाद रेल सेवा में आए; तथा 1 जनवरी 1986 को सेवा में सीपीएफ लाभार्थी, जिन्हें उस तिथि से पेंशन योजना में आया माना जाता है, जब तक कि उन्होंने सीपीएफ पर बने रहने का विशेष विकल्प न दिया हो।

Every railway employee — except those re-employed after final retirement — shall subscribe to the fund from the first of the month following the month in which they complete one year of continuous service, or from the date of confirmation, whichever is earlier.प्रत्येक रेल कर्मचारी — उन्हें छोड़कर जो अंतिम सेवानिवृत्ति के बाद पुनर्नियोजित हैं — उस माह के बाद वाले माह की पहली तारीख से निधि में अभिदान करेगा जिसमें वह एक वर्ष की निरंतर सेवा पूरी करता है, अथवा पुष्टि की तिथि से, जो भी पहले हो।
