WRIIL is granted to a railway servant, PERMANENT OR TEMPORARY, who suffers illness or injury ATTRIBUTABLE TO or AGGRAVATED IN the performance of official duties, or in consequence of official position.डब्ल्यूआरआईआईएल उस रेल सेवक को दिया जाता है, स्थायी या अस्थायी, जो ऐसी बीमारी या चोट से पीड़ित हो जो शासकीय कर्तव्यों के निर्वहन के कारण हुई या उसमें बढ़ी हो, अथवा शासकीय पद के परिणामस्वरूप हो।

FULL PAY AND ALLOWANCES are granted for the ENTIRE PERIOD OF HOSPITALISATION, with no limit on how long that period runs.संपूर्ण अस्पताल-वास की अवधि हेतु पूर्ण वेतन और भत्ते दिए जाते हैं, उस अवधि की लंबाई पर कोई सीमा नहीं।

BEYOND hospitalisation, a railway servant other than RPF or RPSF gets FULL pay and allowances for SIX MONTHS, and HALF pay for TWELVE MONTHS after that. The half-pay period may be commuted to full pay by debiting a corresponding number of days of Leave on Half Average Pay.अस्पताल-वास के बाद, आरपीएफ या आरपीएसएफ से भिन्न रेल सेवक को छह माह तक पूर्ण वेतन और भत्ते, तथा उसके बाद बारह माह तक आधा वेतन मिलता है। आधे वेतन की अवधि को अर्ध औसत वेतन अवकाश के उतने ही दिन घटाकर पूर्ण वेतन में बदला जा सकता है।

RPF and RPSF are treated more generously, and the two ranks differently. An OFFICER of RPF/RPSF gets full pay and allowances for six months and then FULL PAY ONLY for twenty-four months; personnel BELOW OFFICER RANK get full pay and allowances with NO LIMIT on the period.आरपीएफ और आरपीएसएफ के साथ अधिक उदारता बरती जाती है, और दोनों रैंकों के साथ भिन्न रूप से। आरपीएफ/आरपीएसएफ का अधिकारी छह माह तक पूर्ण वेतन एवं भत्ते और फिर चौबीस माह तक केवल पूर्ण वेतन पाता है; अधिकारी रैंक से नीचे के कर्मी बिना किसी अवधि सीमा के पूर्ण वेतन एवं भत्ते पाते हैं।

Where the WORKMEN'S COMPENSATION ACT 1923 applies, the leave salary payable under WRIIL is REDUCED by the amount of compensation paid under that Act. The employee is not compensated twice for the same injury.जहाँ कर्मकार क्षतिपूर्ति अधिनियम 1923 लागू हो, वहाँ डब्ल्यूआरआईआईएल के अंतर्गत देय अवकाश वेतन उस अधिनियम के अंतर्गत दी गई क्षतिपूर्ति की राशि से घटा दिया जाता है। एक ही चोट के लिए कर्मचारी को दो बार क्षतिपूर्ति नहीं मिलती।

NO Leave on Average Pay and NO Leave on Half Average Pay is credited during the period the employee is on WRIIL. The leave account stands still while WRIIL runs.जिस अवधि में कर्मचारी डब्ल्यूआरआईआईएल पर है उस दौरान न औसत वेतन अवकाश जमा होता है और न अर्ध औसत वेतन अवकाश। डब्ल्यूआरआईआईएल चलने तक अवकाश खाता स्थिर रहता है।
