Hospital Leave is granted to Group C and Group D staff under treatment for illness or injury directly caused by a risk incurred in the course of official duty. A medical certificate from an authorised medical authority is required.अस्पताल अवकाश समूह 'ग' और समूह 'घ' कर्मचारियों को दिया जाता है, जब वे ऐसी बीमारी या चोट का उपचार करा रहे हों जो सीधे सरकारी ड्यूटी के दौरान हुए जोखिम से हुई हो। प्राधिकृत चिकित्सा प्राधिकारी से प्रमाणपत्र आवश्यक है।

Hospital leave may be granted for up to 120 days on average pay; the remaining period is on half pay.अस्पताल अवकाश 120 दिन तक औसत वेतन पर दिया जा सकता है; शेष अवधि अर्ध वेतन पर होती है।

The Divisional Railway Manager may relax the provision in individual cases deserving hospital leave beyond 120 days. The General Manager is empowered to grant hospital leave for an UNLIMITED number of days, and such leave is not debited to the leave account.मंडल रेल प्रबंधक 120 दिन से अधिक अस्पताल अवकाश के योग्य व्यक्तिगत मामलों में प्रावधान में छूट दे सकते हैं। महाप्रबंधक असीमित दिनों का अस्पताल अवकाश देने के लिए सशक्त हैं, और ऐसा अवकाश अवकाश-लेखे में नहीं डाला जाता।

Hospital leave may also be granted for absence due to amputation, replacement of artificial limbs, or obtaining a spare limb.अंग-विच्छेदन, कृत्रिम अंग बदलवाने, या अतिरिक्त अंग प्राप्त करने के कारण अनुपस्थिति पर भी अस्पताल अवकाश दिया जा सकता है।

Special Disability Leave is granted to a railway servant, temporary or permanent, who is disabled by injury on duty. The period must be certified by the Authorised Medical Attendant.विशेष विकलांगता अवकाश उस रेल सेवक को दिया जाता है, चाहे अस्थायी हो या स्थायी, जो ड्यूटी पर लगी चोट से विकलांग हो गया हो। अवधि प्राधिकृत चिकित्सा परिचारक द्वारा प्रमाणित होनी चाहिए।

Special Disability Leave shall not exceed 24 MONTHS in respect of any one disability, and the period counts as duty. Leave Preparatory to Retirement — where a railway servant does not want to encash his leave on average pay at retirement, the competent authority may permit leave preparatory to retirement up to 240 days of average pay taken together with half pay leave, running up to and including the date of retirement.सेवानिवृत्ति पूर्व अवकाश — जब कोई रेल सेवक सेवानिवृत्ति पर अपने औसत वेतन अवकाश का नकदीकरण नहीं चाहता, तो सक्षम प्राधिकारी अर्ध वेतन अवकाश सहित 240 दिन तक का सेवानिवृत्ति पूर्व अवकाश दे सकते हैं, जो सेवानिवृत्ति की तिथि तक और उस तिथि सहित चलता है।
