WHAT UMID ISयूएमआईडी क्या है

UMID is a SMART HEALTH CARD SYSTEM in Indian Railways. It gives a UNIQUE IDENTITY to every medical beneficiary individually, through a unique number. It is strengthened by a WEB-ENABLED QR CODE and by BIOMETRIC identity, and it runs on a COMMON DATABASE at the all India level. So the card you carry at a health unit is the same card the whole of the Railways can read. So your identity travels with the number, and not with the piece of plastic.यूएमआईडी भारतीय रेल की स्मार्ट स्वास्थ्य कार्ड प्रणाली है। यह हर चिकित्सा हिताधिकारी को, एक विशिष्ट संख्या के माध्यम से, अलग-अलग विशिष्ट पहचान देती है। इसे वेब-सक्षम क्यूआर कोड और बायोमेट्रिक पहचान से मजबूत किया गया है, और यह अखिल भारतीय स्तर के साझा डेटाबेस पर चलती है। अर्थात् आप स्वास्थ्य इकाई पर जो कार्ड ले जाते हैं, वही कार्ड पूरी रेलवे पढ़ सकती है। अर्थात् आपकी पहचान उस संख्या के साथ चलती है, प्लास्टिक के टुकड़े के साथ नहीं।

WHO GETS A CARDकार्ड किसे मिलता है

The object is to issue smart cards to ALL medical beneficiaries.

• EMPLOYEES
• PENSIONERS
• DEPENDANTS of employees and pensioners
• OTHER beneficiaries, such as quasi railway employees and porters or coolies

Registration, approval and card generation are done COMPLETELY ON AN ELECTRONIC PLATFORM. So you apply from any place, through the web or the mobile application. So your dependants are registered on the same platform, and under the same number as you.उद्देश्य है सभी चिकित्सा हिताधिकारियों को स्मार्ट कार्ड जारी करना।

• कर्मचारी
• पेंशनभोगी
• कर्मचारियों और पेंशनभोगियों के आश्रित
• अन्य हिताधिकारी, जैसे अर्ध रेल कर्मचारी तथा कुली

पंजीकरण, अनुमोदन और कार्ड बनाना, तीनों पूरी तरह इलेक्ट्रॉनिक मंच पर होते हैं। अर्थात् आप कहीं से भी, वेब या मोबाइल एप्लिकेशन से आवेदन करते हैं। अर्थात् आपके आश्रित उसी मंच पर, और आपकी ही संख्या के अधीन पंजीकृत होते हैं।

WHAT THE CARD DOES FOR YOUकार्ड आपके लिए क्या करता है

The card is not only an identity. It carries the work of the health unit with it.

• AUTOMATIC GENERATION of OPD slips, through a kiosk in the hospital
• Identification at any health unit at any time, EVEN WITHOUT the physical card
• Registration for a CHANGE OF HEALTH UNIT across units, on an online application
• Interfacing with REFERRAL hospitals, and with hospitals tied up under the scheme, authenticated through biometrics

A hospital-wise database of registered users also helps the health units to initiate DEBITS AND CREDITS between themselves. So if you move to another station, you change your health unit online instead of starting again.कार्ड केवल पहचान नहीं है। वह स्वास्थ्य इकाई का काम भी अपने साथ लिए चलता है।

• ऑनलाइन आवेदन से, एक इकाई से दूसरी इकाई में स्वास्थ्य इकाई बदलने का पंजीकरण
• रेफरल अस्पतालों से, और योजना से जुड़े अस्पतालों से जुड़ाव, जिसकी पुष्टि बायोमेट्रिक से होती है

पंजीकृत उपयोगकर्ताओं का अस्पतालवार डेटाबेस स्वास्थ्य इकाइयों को आपस में डेबिट और क्रेडिट शुरू करने में भी मदद करता है। अर्थात् आप दूसरे स्टेशन जाएँ, तो नए सिरे से शुरू करने के बजाय अपनी स्वास्थ्य इकाई ऑनलाइन बदल लेते हैं।

The Combined Book sets out the future use of the beneficiary database in service.

• The database can help the E-PASS SYSTEM, because the medical beneficiary rules are almost the same as the pass beneficiary rules
• The master database helps in rendering services to genuine family members at SETTLEMENT, in COMPASSIONATE APPOINTMENTS, and for CHILDREN EDUCATION ALLOWANCE
• A common database at the pan India level supports DATA ANALYTICS for policy decisions on the welfare of the railway fraternity
