Fixed Medical Allowance is Rs 1,000 per month and is paid to retired railway servants and family pensioners. It is available under NPS as well.निश्चित चिकित्सा भत्ता 1,000 रुपये प्रति माह है और सेवानिवृत्त रेल सेवकों तथा पारिवारिक पेंशनभोगियों को दिया जाता है। यह एनपीएस के अंतर्गत भी उपलब्ध है।

If the residence of the retiring employee is BEYOND 2.5 KM of the railway hospital or health unit, the employee may opt for either out-patient medical facility or Fixed Medical Allowance. Those opting for FMA are still eligible for out-patient treatment of chronic disease.यदि सेवानिवृत्त होने वाले कर्मचारी का निवास रेलवे अस्पताल या स्वास्थ्य इकाई से 2.5 किमी से अधिक दूर है, तो कर्मचारी बाह्य रोगी चिकित्सा सुविधा अथवा निश्चित चिकित्सा भत्ता में से कोई एक चुन सकता है। एफएमए चुनने वाले भी दीर्घकालिक रोग के बाह्य रोगी उपचार के पात्र रहते हैं।

If the residence is WITHIN 2.5 km of the railway hospital or health unit, the employee can opt only for out-patient medical facility.यदि निवास रेलवे अस्पताल या स्वास्थ्य इकाई के 2.5 किमी के भीतर है, तो कर्मचारी केवल बाह्य रोगी चिकित्सा सुविधा ही चुन सकता है।

Only ONE change of option is allowed in the lifetime of a pensioner, and it must be supported by proper proof of a change in residential address.पेंशनभोगी के जीवनकाल में विकल्प में केवल एक बार परिवर्तन की अनुमति है, और वह आवासीय पते में परिवर्तन के उचित प्रमाण द्वारा समर्थित होना चाहिए।

Constant Medical Attendance Allowance is Rs 6,750 per month. It is payable to retired railway employees drawing disability pension under the Railway Services (Extraordinary Pension) Rules 1993 for 100 PER CENT disability who depend on others for their day-to-day functions.नियत चिकित्सा परिचर भत्ता 6,750 रुपये प्रति माह है। यह उन सेवानिवृत्त रेल कर्मचारियों को देय है जो रेल सेवा (असाधारण पेंशन) नियम 1993 के अंतर्गत 100 प्रतिशत दिव्यांगता हेतु दिव्यांगता पेंशन पा रहे हैं और अपने दैनिक कार्यों के लिए दूसरों पर निर्भर हैं।
