Constant Medical Attendance Allowance is payable at RS 6,750 PER MONTH. It goes to railway employees who have RETIRED and are in receipt of a DISABILITY PENSION. The pension is under the Railway Services (Extraordinary Pension) Rules, 1993. So this allowance belongs to a disability pensioner, and not to every retired employee. So if you draw an ordinary pension, this allowance is not the one to look for.नियत चिकित्सा परिचारी भत्ता 6,750 रुपये मासिक की दर से देय है। यह उन रेल कर्मचारियों को मिलता है जो सेवानिवृत्त हो चुके हैं और अशक्तता पेंशन पा रहे हैं। वह पेंशन रेल सेवा (असाधारण पेंशन) नियम, 1993 के अधीन होती है। अर्थात् यह भत्ता अशक्तता पेंशनभोगी का है, हर सेवानिवृत्त कर्मचारी का नहीं। अर्थात् आप सामान्य पेंशन पाते हैं, तो यह वह भत्ता नहीं है जिसे आपको खोजना चाहिए।

THE TWO CONDITIONSदो शर्तें

The allowance carries two conditions, and both must be met together.

• The disability must be 100 PER CENT
• The pensioner must be DEPENDENT ON OTHERS for his day-to-day activities and functions

So the figure is not the whole test. The dependence on another person is the reason the allowance exists. So you have to satisfy the medical board on both counts, not on the percentage alone.भत्ते पर दो शर्तें हैं, और दोनों साथ पूरी होनी चाहिए।

• अशक्तता 100 प्रतिशत होनी चाहिए
• पेंशनभोगी अपने रोजमर्रा के कामों और क्रियाओं के लिए दूसरों पर आश्रित होना चाहिए

अर्थात् कसौटी केवल आँकड़ा नहीं है। दूसरे पर यही आश्रितता उस कारण है जिससे यह भत्ता है। अर्थात् आपको चिकित्सा बोर्ड को दोनों बातों पर संतुष्ट करना होगा, केवल प्रतिशत पर नहीं।

• FIXED MEDICAL ALLOWANCE: RS 1,000 a month, for day-to-day medical expenses, turning on the 2.5 km distance
• CONSTANT MEDICAL ATTENDANCE ALLOWANCE: RS 6,750 a month, for a 100 per cent disability pensioner dependent on others
