Rule 4 — EMPLOYMENT OF NEAR RELATIVES. A railway servant cannot use his position to get a near relative employed in a company or firm with which he has official dealings, and there are restrictions on such firms employing his relatives.नियम 4 — निकट संबंधियों का नियोजन। रेल सेवक अपने पद का उपयोग किसी ऐसी कंपनी या फर्म में निकट संबंधी को नौकरी दिलाने के लिए नहीं कर सकता जिससे उसका सरकारी लेन-देन हो, और ऐसी फर्मों द्वारा उसके संबंधियों को नियोजित करने पर प्रतिबंध हैं।

Rule 5 — TAKING PART IN POLITICS AND ELECTIONS. No railway servant shall be a member of, or associated with, any political party or any organisation which takes part in politics, nor take part in or assist any political movement or activity.नियम 5 — राजनीति और चुनावों में भाग लेना। कोई रेल सेवक किसी राजनीतिक दल या राजनीति में भाग लेने वाले किसी संगठन का सदस्य नहीं होगा, न ही किसी राजनीतिक आंदोलन या गतिविधि में भाग लेगा या सहायता करेगा।

Rule 6 — Joining associations or unions. No railway servant shall join, or continue to be a member of, an association whose objects or activities are prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, or to public order or morality.नियम 6 — संघों या यूनियनों में शामिल होना। कोई रेल सेवक ऐसे संघ में शामिल नहीं होगा और न ही उसका सदस्य बना रहेगा, जिसके उद्देश्य या गतिविधियाँ भारत की संप्रभुता एवं अखंडता, या लोक व्यवस्था या नैतिकता के प्रतिकूल हों।

Rule 7 — Demonstration. No railway servant shall engage in or participate in any demonstration which is prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of India, the security of the State, friendly relations with foreign States, public order, decency or morality.नियम 7 — प्रदर्शन। कोई रेल सेवक ऐसे किसी प्रदर्शन में भाग नहीं लेगा जो भारत की संप्रभुता एवं अखंडता, राज्य की सुरक्षा, विदेशी राज्यों से मैत्रीपूर्ण संबंध, लोक व्यवस्था, शिष्टता या नैतिकता के प्रतिकूल हो।

Rule 8 — Connection with the press or other media, and Rule 9 — Criticism of Government. A railway servant shall not, in any radio broadcast, or in any document published in his own or another name, or in any communication to the press, make any statement of fact or opinion which criticises current or recent policy or action of the Central or a State Government.नियम 8 — प्रेस या अन्य मीडिया से संबंध, और नियम 9 — सरकार की आलोचना। कोई रेल सेवक किसी रेडियो प्रसारण में, अपने या किसी अन्य नाम से प्रकाशित किसी दस्तावेज में, या प्रेस को भेजे किसी संदेश में ऐसा कोई तथ्य या मत नहीं कहेगा जो केंद्र या राज्य सरकार की वर्तमान या हाल की नीति या कार्रवाई की आलोचना करता हो।

Rule 11 — Communication of official information. Every railway servant shall maintain proper secrecy, and shall not communicate any official document or information to anyone to whom he is not authorised to communicate it.नियम 11 — सरकारी सूचना का संप्रेषण। प्रत्येक रेल सेवक उचित गोपनीयता बनाए रखेगा, और कोई सरकारी दस्तावेज या सूचना ऐसे किसी व्यक्ति को नहीं देगा जिसे देने के लिए वह अधिकृत नहीं है।

Rule 14 — Public demonstrations in honour of railway servants. No railway servant shall receive any complimentary or valedictory address, or accept any testimonial, or attend any meeting or entertainment held in his honour.नियम 14 — रेल सेवकों के सम्मान में सार्वजनिक आयोजन। कोई रेल सेवक न तो कोई अभिनंदन या विदाई अभिभाषण प्राप्त करेगा, न कोई प्रशस्ति-पत्र स्वीकार करेगा, और न ही अपने सम्मान में आयोजित किसी सभा या मनोरंजन में सम्मिलित होगा।

Rule 20 — Canvassing of non-official or other influence. No railway servant shall bring or try to bring any political or other influence to bear upon any superior authority to further his own interests in service matters.नियम 20 — गैर-सरकारी या अन्य प्रभाव का उपयोग। कोई रेल सेवक सेवा मामलों में अपने हित साधने के लिए किसी वरिष्ठ प्राधिकारी पर कोई राजनीतिक या अन्य प्रभाव नहीं डालेगा और न ही डालने का प्रयास करेगा।
